I imagine this couple had a little time before heading off to New Year's dinner and did a few circles around the oval. In the meantime,the little guy behind them sat himself down, not at all sure that he wanted to go on with this escapade! His Mom patiently waited so I'm sure in the end he got up and going, brave little soul.

Thanks to both of you! Part of my joy in painting them was to sort of laugh at old man winter but I think it's clear today who's had the last laugh!
I love the whole family thing that happens on our outdoor rinks, everbody gets out, young and old!
